REGULUS is a replaceable, double-ended spigot for MITOYA PENGUIN and MITOYA PANDA lighting stands. Made from aluminium alloy, it uses the 16 mm mounting standard and provides both 1/4-inch and 3/8-inch threads, commonly used with photo and video accessories and external microphones.
The robust shank resists crushing and cracking. It measures 18 mm across at its widest point and can be mounted securely on compatible stands in either a vertical or horizontal position. Flat grooves on the 16 mm sections help stabilise ring lights, LED panels and studio lights. This profiled surface prevents the stand’s locking screw from slipping or turning sideways, helping keep the mounted light stable during use.

Application
A lighting stand with a removable spigot makes it easier to prepare equipment on set. Lights can be assembled on the floor in controlled conditions, then placed on the stand as a stable, ready-to-use setup. Additional REGULUS spigots allow different lights to be prepared in advance, improving mobility and flexibility on set.
