This filter is designed with an ultra-hard nano coating to protect your camera lens. The HD Nano Mk II UV filter features a UV cut curve that does not affect the visible light range. It includes a new powered coating that protects the lens from scouring and allows easy cleaning of water spots and fingerprints. The HD Nano Mk II glass is chemically enhanced optical glass that is 4 times stronger.

Powered Coating

The newly developed coating adheres to the glass surface more firmly and closely at the nano level than previous versions. This results in particles layered on the glass surface with extremely high density, creating a hard and smooth coating. Besides being ultra-hard and smooth, the HOYA HD Nano Mk II coating has superior water and oil repellent properties, making filter maintenance easy and stress-free.

The filter uses hardened optical glass with 4 times the breaking strength of standard optical glass.
