HOYA engineers have developed a new antistatic coating that acts like a force field around the filter to repel dust. This feature is ideal for dusty environments, reducing the need for frequent cleaning and maintenance compared to traditional filters.

Durable and Easy to Clean Surface

The hardened antistatic top-layer is water repellent and stain resistant, allowing water to bead up and wipe away easily. Fingerprints and smudges can be cleaned effortlessly, maintaining a clear surface for optimal image quality.

Optical Performance

The UV filter effectively cuts unwanted ultraviolet rays, reducing haze and enhancing image clarity. The filter is made in Japan from hand-selected silicates, carefully smelted and blended to produce high-performance optical glass.

Improved 18-Layer Super Multi-Coating

Both sides of the glass feature HOYA's improved 18-layer super multi-coating, which significantly reduces or eliminates reflections. This results in ultra-clear glass with a high transmission rate, ensuring the filter has virtually no effect on color balance, contrast, or image clarity.

Filter Frame Design

The filter is housed in a lightweight, one-piece, low-profile aluminum frame. This design maintains perfect parallel alignment to the sensor plane for maximum sharpness and eliminates vignetting when used on ultra-wide-angle lenses. The frame also includes front filter threads for additional filter stacking.
