The Viltrox AF 15mm f/1.7 E is a fast and lightweight wide-angle prime lens designed for Sony E-mount APS-C cameras. Featuring a bright f/1.7 maximum aperture and an STM autofocus motor, it excels in low-light conditions and close-up photography. Its compact design and advanced optical construction deliver sharp, high-contrast images with smooth bokeh.
Optical Design and Performance
This lens offers a full-frame equivalent focal length of 22.5mm, making it suitable for wide-angle applications. The ultra-bright f/1.7 aperture allows for excellent low-light performance and shallow depth of field effects. The optical formula consists of twelve elements arranged in ten groups, including three Extra-low Dispersion (ED) elements, three High Refraction (HR) elements, and two aspherical lenses. These components work together to minimize flare, ghosting, and aberrations, ensuring improved contrast and sharpness throughout the image.
Autofocus and Aperture
