The Panasonic HC-X1 is a lightweight, compact 4K camcorder designed for professional use. It supports multi-format recording including 4K 24p, UHD 60p/50p, Full HD 60p/50p, and HD super slow-motion video capture.
LEICA DICOMAR 4K Lens
This camcorder features a high-performance LEICA DICOMAR 24mm wide-angle 4K lens with 20x optical zoom. The lens offers minimal distortion, making it ideal for shooting in tight or narrow spaces. The 24mm focal length is equivalent to 35mm film camera at 4K 24p (aspect ratio 17:9), and 25.4mm for UHD/FHD (aspect ratio 16:9).
4-Drive Lens System
The HC-X1 incorporates a 4-Drive Lens System that independently drives four lens groups (group 2, iris, group 3, group 4). This design optimizes image quality and zoom performance by efficiently controlling lens size and drive range for each group.
5-Axis HYBRID Optical Image Stabilization (O.I.S.)
Combining optical and electronic image stabilization, the 5-axis HYBRID O.I.S. corrects hand-shake in multiple directions including roll rotation, especially effective in HD shooting modes.
Zoom Range
The 20x optical zoom lens covers a focal length range from 24mm wide-angle to 480mm telephoto (35mm equivalent at 4K 24p). The lens zooms quickly between wide and telephoto settings.
4K 1.0-inch MOS Sensor
The camcorder is equipped with a 1.0-inch MOS sensor ideal for high-precision, high-speed 4K 60p/50p recording. It has approximately 9.46 effective megapixels at 4K 24p and 8.79 megapixels at UHD/FHD, providing excellent depth of field and a balance between image quality and sensitivity. It supports 4K 24p, UHD 60p/50p, FHD 60p/50p, and HD super slow-motion recording at 120 fps (59.94Hz) or 100 fps (50Hz).
Intelligent Autofocus (AF)
Precise autofocus is achieved by the Micro Drive Focus Unit, which moves quickly and minutely. AF settings such as speed, sensitivity, and area can be customized to suit different subjects or shooting applications.
Dual SD Memory Card Slots
Two SD card slots allow for unlimited relay recording by switching cards seamlessly. Simultaneous and background recording modes enhance recording reliability. The maximum data size across multiple SD cards is 96 GB, but recording continues beyond this limit.
