The Aputure Fresnel 2X is an advanced Fresnel lens designed for film and video lighting, enhancing the output and versatility of Bowens mount LED lights such as the 120D II and 300D COB Light Storm fixtures. It features a dual optical element design with a larger 6-inch front Fresnel lens, improved ventilation, and minimized light leakage, making it a premium lighting modifier for professional use.

Dual Lens Optical Design

The Fresnel 2X incorporates a dual lens system where the rear lens focuses and magnifies the beam onto the larger front Fresnel lens. This design eliminates light waste and doubles the output compared to the original Aputure Fresnel. When used with the 120D II, it can increase brightness up to 14 times, significantly enhancing light intensity and quality.

New Rotating Barrel Design

The lens features a smooth rotating barrel mechanism similar to a camera lens, allowing precise and intuitive adjustment of the beam angle. Users can easily transition the light from a narrow 12° spot to a wide 40° flood with a simple twist, without the need for locking knobs. The mechanism holds its position firmly, providing stable and accurate beam control.

Versatility and Compatibility

Designed with a Bowens Mount, the Fresnel 2X is compatible with a wide range of lights and accessories. The 7-inch front ring accepts Aputure Barndoors, expanding light shaping options. Its robust construction uses heat-resistant materials, ensuring durability during extended use. The included carrying pouch enhances portability for on-location shoots.
