The Fiber Base One from FieldCast enables you to switch, monitor, and control up to four PTZ cameras using fiber optic cables. This 1 RU device serves as the central hub for managing the PTZ cameras and their connected Fiber Node One units.
The Fiber Base One features an SMPTE fiber input, which is used to connect to a Fiber Node One. This connection allows for seamless control, power distribution, and monitoring of up to four 3G-SDI PTZ cameras. The Fiber Base One consolidates all the necessary power, control, and video connectivity for the remote Node and its connected cameras over a single fiber optic connection, eliminating the need for local power sources on the remote units.
In addition to power and control, the Fiber Base One offers convenient monitoring and switching capabilities. It provides four 3G-SDI outputs, allowing you to monitor and switch camera signals as needed. The device also includes a LAN Ethernet port for network connectivity, enabling remote control and management of the PTZ cameras. Furthermore, it features a 4-pin XLR power output that can be utilized with an optional IP PTZ controller.
