Extended Carbon Fiber Axis Arms
The RS 3 Pro features extended carbon fiber axis arms to provide more room for balancing professional cameras, making it ideal for setups like the Sony FX6 or Canon C70 with 24-70mm f/2.8 lenses. This expansion enhances creative possibilities. A new extended bottom quick release plate offers a more stable camera mount and supports lens mount installation for secure assembly. A fine-tuning knob on the tilt axis allows millimeter-precise forward or backward camera adjustments. Teflon-coated components reduce friction and drag, enabling easier balancing even with heavy cameras.
Automatic Axis Locking
Start shooting quickly with automatic axis locking. Press and hold the power button to unlock all three axes instantly. A single press locks the axes and puts the stabilizer into sleep mode, improving transmission efficiency. Holding the power button again locks the axes automatically.
High Payload Capacity in Lightweight Design
The RS 3 Pro maintains a lightweight body at 1.5 kg (including gimbal, battery grip, and dual-layer quick release plates) while supporting a payload capacity of up to 4.5 kg, effectively supporting professional camera setups.
Wireless Shutter Control
Utilizing Dual-Mode Bluetooth technology, the RS 3 Pro enables efficient and reliable wireless shutter control. After initial Bluetooth pairing, video recording and photo capture can be controlled via the stabilizer's record button. Previously paired cameras reconnect automatically, saving setup time.
Instant Mode Switching
Switch between Pan Follow, Pan and Tilt Follow, and FPV modes easily using the new mode switch. FPV mode offers 3D Roll 360, Portrait, or Custom options for quick gear setup and shooting.
Enhanced OLED Touchscreen
The built-in 1.8" full-color OLED touchscreen is 28% larger than the RS 2's display, improving parameter settings, shooting status checks, and subject targeting. The redesigned interface is more intuitive and precise, with higher brightness and lower power consumption, optimized for outdoor use.
Carbon Fiber Construction
Arms are made from laminated uncut carbon fiber sheets, making them lighter and stronger than the bonded carbon fiber used in the RS 2. This increases durability and reduces weight for demanding shooting environments.
Advanced Stabilization
The third-generation RS stabilization algorithms provide 20% greater stability than the RS 2, enabling smooth low-angle shots, dynamic shooting, and transitions between high and low positions.
SuperSmooth Mode
Activating SuperSmooth mode increases motor torque to enhance stabilization, allowing stable shots during fast motion or when using lenses with focal lengths equivalent to 100mm.
LiDAR Assistant (Not Included in Rental)
The RS 3 Pro uses LiDAR focusing technology projecting 43,200 aiming points up to 14 meters, with a built-in 30mm equivalent focal length camera and 70° field of view. This system excels in low-light and complex multi-object environments, supporting Wide and Spot focusing modes.
Next-Generation Focus Motor (Not Included in Rental)
The DJI RS Focus Motor (2022) delivers up to 1 Nm torque with 50% noise reduction for smooth, quiet focusing. It features a quick-release design for tool-free assembly.
Autofocus Capabilities
Combining LiDAR Range Finder and the new focus motor enables autofocus on manual lenses. Users can switch between manual and autofocus with one button press. Multiple lens calibration profiles can be stored, and some film lenses support autofocus without calibration. The LiDAR Range Finder and focus motor can also operate independently from the gimbal.
ActiveTrack Pro
ActiveTrack Pro reads images directly from the LiDAR Range Finder camera, eliminating the need for the Ronin Image Transmitter. It features a chip identical to the Ronin 4D, increasing processing power by over 60 times compared to previous versions. Tracking latency is reduced to 40 ms, enabling accurate tracking of fast-moving and distant targets. Objects can be tracked or marked via the RS 3 Pro's OLED touchscreen.
Video Transmission
The RS 3 Pro supports DJI Transmission technology, allowing up to 6 km of ultra-low latency video and audio transmission with automatic frequency hopping across 2.4 GHz, 5.8 GHz, and DFS bands. The DJI High-Bright Remote Monitor supports 1080p/60 fps live streaming and multiple receivers. Control mode enables two receivers to simultaneously control gimbal, focus, and camera parameters.
Gimbal and Focus Control
The remote monitor can be used with Ronin 4D Hand Grips, DJI Master Wheels, or DJI Force Pro for precise gimbal and focus control. Its built-in gyro sensor allows it to function as a standalone motion controller for complex camera movements without additional accessories.
Seamless Wireless Camera Control
Mirror Control mode enables wireless control of Sony mirrorless camera menus via the remote monitor when the RS 3 Pro is mounted on cranes, cable cars, or suction mount vehicles, without unplugging the camera.
Extensive Expandability
Two RSA/NATO ports and a battery port allow connection to accessories such as the Twist Grip Dual Handle, Tethered Control Handle, and DJI Briefcase Handle, providing flexibility for various shooting scenarios.
Customizable Solutions
The DJI RS SDK enables developers to create customized solutions for the RS 3 Pro, supporting filming from moving vehicles, cranes, Steadicams, cable cars, or sliders, expanding creative possibilities.
