The Fluid Drag System (FDS) on both pan and tilt provides controlled, consistent camera movement for smooth video operation and accurate framing. For greater camera control, the built-in Counterbalance System (CBS), optimised for 2.4 kg at a 55 mm centre of gravity, can be engaged to help balance camera setups and reduce operator effort. A hinged camera plate enables quick switching between landscape and portrait orientation, supporting vertical video production without interrupting the setup workflow.

The 501PL sliding plate with side-lock top attachment enables fast top-loading and secure camera mounting directly onto the head.
