The Sennheiser ew-DX SK/SKM is a high-quality, dual digital wireless microphone system designed for professional use. It combines a handheld transmitter (SKM) and a bodypack transmitter (SK), allowing for flexible deployment according to the users needs. The system is supplied without a microphone head, allowing the user to choose the appropriate microphone for the specific application.
Frequency range and wireless technology
The system operates in the UHF band, which is known for its reliability and resistance to interference. It has up to 3520 tunable frequencies in an 88 MHz bandwidth, ensuring trouble-free reception even in densely occupied frequency areas. The system supports up to 148 channels in a single band, or 293 channels in LD (low delay) mode. Digital modulation minimizes noise, interference, and static discharge, maintaining the purity of the audio signal.
Receiver and transmitter hardware
Included is a robust two-channel rack-mount receiver equipped with two BNC antenna connectors and connectors for balanced (XLR) and unbalanced (6.3 mm jack) audio outputs. The receiver can be powered within the standard range of 11-13 V DC and supports PoE (Power over Ethernet) technology for powering via a LAN cable. Communication with transmitters also takes place via Bluetooth Low Energy, which allows for convenient control and configuration.
The SKM handheld transmitter is compatible with Sennheiser MMD, MME, MMK, KK, and MM microphones and is equipped with a MUTE switch for quick microphone muting.
