Design and Build

The SmallRig 5718 S70-C1 wireless microphone features a semi-concealed design with a nitinol memory-alloy clip. The visible portion measures just 8.8 x 29 mm, and the entire transmitter weighs only 8.6 g. When clipped to a collar, it remains nearly invisible and unobtrusive, preserving clothing appearance and providing a clean on-camera aesthetic.

Audio Performance

Powered by an ATS3031 chip, the system delivers high-fidelity 48 kHz/24-bit audio quality. It offers three noise reduction modes, three levels of gain adjustment, and two mixing modes to adapt to various recording environments. A built-in auto limiter prevents clipping, ensuring clear and distortion-free sound.

Battery and Runtime

The microphone provides up to 8 hours of continuous use on a single charge. When used with the included charging case, the total system runtime extends to over 20 hours, supporting one to two full days of operation without recharging.

Sound Tuning

Expertly tuned by Grammy-winning sound engineer Luca Bignardi, the microphone includes nine preset EQs designed to enhance vocal clarity and purity across different voice types and recording conditions.
