This ultra-telephoto zoom lens for Sony E-mount full-frame mirrorless cameras comes in the same size as conventional 100-400mm zoom lenses, yet the 50-400mm F4.5-6.3 covers the standard 50mm and stretches all the way to 400mm at the ultra-telephoto end that offers an unmatched level of versatility comparing to conventional 100-400mm zoom.

The lens features a improved texture and has a remarkably compact design with a length of just 183.4mm and a light weight of 1,155g. It has a moisture-resistant construction to ensure use even in harsh weather conditions and the front surface of the lens element is coated with a protective fluorine compound that is water- and oil-repellant.
