The Creality RaptorX is an advanced 3D scanner designed for professional use. It combines blue laser scanning and NIR structured-light technology to deliver high accuracy and speed. Its compact, wireless design supports scanning in a range of working conditions, including bright environments. The scanner offers versatile applications, from capturing complex objects to mapping fine details at high resolution.

Scanning quality and applications

The RaptorX provides accuracy of up to 0.02 mm and volume accuracy of 0.02 mm + 0.6 mm/m in blue laser modes. It captures scans at up to 60 fps and supports full-color mapping for projects that require surface and color detail. The scanner can handle objects from 5 × 5 × 5 mm to 4 m³, making it suitable for small components, human silhouettes and large mechanical parts.

Scanning modes

Choose from seven blue parallel laser lines, 34 blue laser lines or NIR scanning. The available modes support manual scanning, stationary scanning with automatic platform rotation, detailed capture of small features and scanning of larger objects. These capabilities make the RaptorX suitable for applications in industries such as automotive, medical and art.

Wireless operation and portability

The scanner weighs 405 g and supports wireless scanning. Its rechargeable battery provides approximately 4 hours of operation and charges to 80% in about 1.5 hours. The portable design is suited to both studio and field use.

NIR structured-light scanning

NIR (near-infrared) structured-light technology enables markerless scanning. One-Shot 3D Imaging helps maintain tracking and reduces the risk of losing the object during capture, supporting a smooth manual scanning workflow.

Reliable capture and color mapping

A face and body mapping algorithm captures details such as hair and body contours; a full-body scan takes approximately 2 minutes. The scanner supports 24-bit color capture for accurate color reproduction. Its material adaptability allows it to scan black and metallic objects without sprays or coatings.

Optical components

The RaptorX features a 3D camera with a resolution of 2.3 megapixels (1920 × 1200). Its nine-element glass lens is designed to minimize distortion and provide a deep depth of field. The metal lens housing supports durability and stable operation in demanding conditions.

CrealityScan software

The scanner works with CrealityScan software, which includes point-cloud editing, face and body scanning, and one-click calibration. It is compatible with software including SolidWorks, Maya and Blender, allowing scans to be incorporated into further design workflows.
