The SmallRig 4002 is a 15mm dovetail baseplate compatible with ARRI dovetail plates. It features a hollowed-out aluminum alloy structure that weighs just over 300 grams while supporting payloads up to 20 kilograms. This design ensures a lightweight yet robust platform for camera mounting.

Design and Compatibility

The baseplate's low profile design allows sufficient clearance for dual 15mm rods, with the rod center positioned 15 mm above the dovetail plate and 13 mm above the baseplate top. For cameras with a lower optical axis center, it is recommended to use a cage or height riser plate when pairing with this baseplate and dual rods to maintain optimal alignment.
