The Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro EF Mount is a professional digital film camera that combines the high image quality of the URSA Mini 4.6K with the ergonomic features and controls of a traditional broadcast camera. It offers numerous tactile controls on the camera body, allowing adjustments by feel without taking your eyes off the action. The camera includes built-in neutral density (ND) filters, a status display, and a revolutionary interchangeable lens mount system compatible with EF photographic lenses, as well as optional PL and B4 lenses.

Image Quality and Sensor
The camera features a Super 35 sensor measuring 25.34mm x 14.25mm with a resolution of up to 4608 x 2592 pixels (4.6K). It offers 15 stops of dynamic range and a wide color gamut exceeding Rec. 2020, utilizing Blackmagic Design's third-generation color science for rich, natural colors and skin tones. The sensor supports high frame rate recording up to 60 fps at full 4.6K resolution and up to 120 fps in 2K windowed mode.
Interchangeable Lens Mount System
The URSA Mini Pro comes standard with an EF mount, allowing use of high-quality photographic lenses. The lens mount is interchangeable, with optional PL and B4 mounts available separately, enabling compatibility with a wide range of professional cinema and broadcast lenses. Lens control is electronic via EF mount pins or a 12-pin broadcast connector for compatible lenses.
Built-in ND Filters
The camera includes a four-position ND filter wheel with clear, 2-stop, 4-stop, and 6-stop optical ND filters designed to match the camera's colorimetry and color science. These filters reduce light evenly across optical and infrared wavelengths, preventing IR contamination and allowing greater creative control over depth of field and motion blur.
Ergonomics and Controls
The magnesium alloy body is evenly weighted and designed for professional use with full redundancy on controls, including the power switch. Tactile buttons, switches, knobs, and dials provide fast access to key settings such as frame rate, shutter angle, aperture, and ND filters without removing the camera from the shoulder. The 4" fold-out touchscreen offers intuitive control with tap and swipe gestures, a heads-up display overlay, and digital slate metadata entry.
Recording Media and Formats
Dual C-Fast 2.0 and dual UHS-II SD card slots enable continuous recording by automatically switching to the next card when one is full. The camera supports recording in lossless 12-bit CinemaDNG RAW for maximum quality and 10-bit ProRes formats for efficient post-production workflows.
Audio and Connectivity
Integrated professional audio includes a built-in stereo microphone and two balanced XLR inputs with 48V phantom power for external microphones. Connectivity options include 12G-SDI output supporting up to 2160p60, HD-SDI monitoring output, LANC inputs, timecode in, reference input, and a 12-pin Hirose lens control connector.
Power and Accessories
The camera uses a 4-pin XLR power connector compatible with 12V to 30V external power supplies and supports a wide range of battery plates from major manufacturers. Optional accessories include the Blackmagic URSA Viewfinder, URSA Studio Viewfinder, and URSA Mini Shoulder Kit, as well as numerous third-party rigs and mounts.
