Construction

An integrated aperture-control ring with 8 stops in half-stop increments compensates for Nikon G-type lenses lacking a built-in aperture ring, giving photographers full manual aperture control. Lenses with built-in aperture rings, such as Nikon AI or many post-AI lenses, can still use their original controls if preferred.

Design Features

To reduce glare and unwanted reflections, the adapter's interior is coated matte black, enhancing contrast and image quality. Additionally, the adapter features a detachable Arca-type compatible tripod foot with 1/4-20 threading to support heavy lens-camera setups and protect the camera mount during tripod use.

Limitations

Note that this adapter does not support electronic communication between lens and camera, so autofocus and electronic aperture control are not available. For use with lenses designed for smaller sensors on the larger GFX sensor, a separate Metabones 1.26x Expander adapter is recommended to avoid vignetting.
