Construction and Materials

Constructed from durable aluminum alloy with brass mounting rings, this adapter offers a lightweight yet robust connection that resists wear. The interior is coated matte black to reduce internal reflections and glare, enhancing image contrast and quality.

Aperture Control

Featuring an integrated aperture control ring with 8 stops in half-stop increments, the adapter compensates for Nikon G-type lenses that lack a built-in aperture ring, providing full manual aperture control. Lenses with built-in aperture rings, such as Nikon AI and many post-AI lenses, can still use their original aperture controls.

Design Features

• Detachable Arca-type tripod foot with 1/4-20 thread for secure mounting and protection of the camera mount during tripod use.
• Supports manual aperture control only; no electronic communication or autofocus functionality.

Limitations

This adapter does not support electronic communication between lens and camera, so autofocus and electronic aperture control are unavailable. For lenses designed for smaller sensors used on the larger GFX sensor, a separate Metabones 1.26x Expander adapter is recommended to avoid vignetting.
