Product details
Compatibility and Construction
- Adapter for mounting Leica M (LM) lenses on Sony E-mount cameras.
- Compatible with various Sony NEX and Alpha series cameras including NEX-3, NEX-5, NEX-6, NEX-7, a6000, a5000, a3500, a3000, Alpha A7, A7R, NEX-VG10, VG20, etc.
- Note: Not compatible with Sony a7S, a7 II, a7S II, and a7R II models.
- Constructed from brass and anodized aluminum for durability and precision; no plastic parts.
Design and Features
- Manual lens adapter without autofocus or aperture control ring; diaphragm must be controlled manually on the lens.
- Precision manufacturing ensures a perfect fit and smooth mounting experience.
- Allows infinity focus; the infinity mark on telephoto lenses is slightly shifted to compensate for temperature-induced focus shifts, indicated by an L-shaped line on the adapter.
- Compact and elegant design with a clear, smooth surface.
Usage Instructions
- Requires careful installation without excessive force.
- If the camera displays a "lens not properly installed" warning, enable "Release shutter without lens" in camera settings (Menu > Setup > Release w/o Lens > Enable).
- For lenses without manual aperture rings, the aperture will default to the smallest f-stop.
- Ensure to check focus through the viewfinder when shooting at infinity due to the shifted infinity mark.
Additional Notes
- Adapting APS-C lenses to full-frame cameras may cause vignetting; this is not a fault of the adapter. Some cameras can correct this by switching to APS-C mode.
- L mount cameras are full-frame mirrorless systems.
