The SmallRig "Rhinoceros" Advanced Cage Kit is engineered to reduce arm fatigue, enhance shooting stability, and provide multiple accessory mounting points for Sony Alpha 7R V, Alpha 7 IV, and Alpha 7S III cameras. The kit includes a formfitting cage, a top handle, a side handle, and an HDMI cable clamp.
Design and Materials
- The cage and handles are crafted from ultra-light, high-strength carbon fiber, making them approximately 20% lighter than comparable aluminum alloy kits, ideal for extended handheld and low-angle shooting.
- The cage features a locating pin, a 1/4"-20 screw, and an M2.5 screw to securely lock the camera in place.
- The streamlined design ensures full access to all top buttons and ports without obstruction.
- The top handle offers comfortable carrying and facilitates low-angle shots.
- The side handle combines lightweight carbon fiber with PU leather for a firm and pleasant grip.
- The HDMI cable clamp, secured by a flat-head screw, protects camera interfaces to maintain stable signal transmission.
Mounting and Compatibility
- Multiple accessory mounting points include 1/4"-20 threaded holes compatible with Magic Arm 3873, cold shoe mounts for microphones and LED video lights, and ARRI 3/8"-16 locating holes for Side Handle 2914.
- A NATO rail and an Arca-Swiss quick-release plate add versatility, enabling quick transitions between handheld, tripod, and gimbal setups (compatible with DJI RS 2, RSC 2, RS 3, RS 3 Pro gimbals).
