SmallRig 2087 Cage for Sony A7RIII/A7III

Compatibility and Design

The SmallRig 2087 Cage is specifically designed for the Sony A7RIII and A7III cameras. It securely mounts to the camera using a 1/4"-20 screw and an M2.5 screw on the right side, preventing any twisting or movement. The cage is form-fitting and does not obstruct any of the camera's buttons, dials, battery compartment, or SD card access.

Mounting and Attachment Points

• Equipped with a built-in cold shoe on the top right, suitable for attaching microphones or SmallRig Magic Arms (models 1497, 1498, 2070) for monitors.
• Features Arri locating points on the top compatible with Arri locating pins, allowing attachment of accessories such as SmallRig Magic Arms with Anti-rotation Magic Arm Adapter 2026 for monitors or wireless image transmitters.
• Includes multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded holes for versatile DIY mounting options.
• Two lens adapter ports fit SmallRig Lens Adapter Support 1764 to better support heavy lenses.
• 1/4"-20 threaded holes on the top can be used to mount SmallRig Top Handles (1984, 1638) for handheld shooting or SmallRig EVF Support 1842 for improved shooting ergonomics.

Protection and Convenience Features

• Unobstructed camera hot shoe allows mounting of Sony XLR-K1M, XLR-K2M, or flashlights with sufficient space.
• Base plate includes embedded rubber pads to prevent scratches and twisting.
• Openings at four corners accommodate wrist and neck straps to prevent accidental drops during shooting.
• Includes sensor centering mark and focal plane mark for precise alignment.
