Small and Easy-to-Operate Wireless Remote Commander

The Sony RMT-VP2 wireless remote commander communicates wirelessly with Sony cameras via Bluetooth®, enabling remote operation of the camera to shoot video and still images, providing enhanced shooting flexibility.

Remote Operation from a Distance

The RMT-VP2 supports a wide range of shooting scenarios, including commemorative event photos and shots requiring fixed composition.

One-Handed Control

The front panel includes shutter, MOVIE (record), AF-ON, C1, and zoom/focus buttons, allowing one-handed shooting of video or still images. Functions frequently assigned to the camera’s AF-ON or C1 buttons can be activated via the corresponding remote buttons, enabling customizable controls tailored to your shooting needs.

Lamp Indicating Remote Operation and Camera Status

An LED lamp lights or flashes to indicate remote operation and camera status, allowing easy status checks during shooting.

Stable Wireless Control for Various Cameras

Using Bluetooth communication, the remote commander offers more stable connectivity than infrared, even with obstacles or sunlight interference. The wireless communication range is approximately 10 meters, ensuring comfortable remote shooting.

Compatibility with Cameras and Smartphones

Besides Sony cameras, the remote commander can control selected Xperia™ smartphones, expanding shooting freedom across devices.

Reliability in Any Shooting Environment

Designed with dust and moisture resistance, the remote commander is suitable for diverse shooting conditions. Without cables or receivers connected to the camera, there is no need to open the camera body’s terminal cover, enhancing dust and moisture resistance.
