A 200 MHz Cortex M4 processor controls the system, performing 20,000 calculations per second, enabling rapid responsiveness with only 2 seconds needed from power-on to operation readiness. The built-in large battery supports up to 14 hours of stable operation.
Practical Design
The compact design and choice of materials keep the device small and portable. When folded, the gimbal is no larger than an A4 sheet, fitting easily into most bags or backpacks. Lightweight aluminum alloys reduce the weight to 1.2 kg, enhancing comfort during use and transport. The minimalist design with black anodized elements provides a professional, discreet appearance, complemented by a polished rosewood handle finish.
Ergonomics of Work
The lightweight AK2000S supports extension with accessories. It features four 1/4" tripod mountings for attaching additional cameras, lights, or monitor brackets, including a cross mount included in the kit for low-angle shooting. Additional 1/4" and 3/8" mountings at the base allow attachment to tripods, monopods, or plates.
Axle Lock and New Mounting System
All axles have special traffic locks for quick balancing and secure transport. The new mounting platform supports quick installation of plates in the Arca-Swiss standard, facilitating easy camera transfer between gimbal, tripod, or monopod.
Modes and Functions
The FeiyuTech AK2000S offers five stabilization modes to suit various shooting needs:
- Panning mode: Smooth camera follow of panning motion while maintaining horizon alignment.
- Lock mode: Camera lens maintains a fixed direction; all axes locked.
- Tracking mode: Camera smoothly follows pan/tilt and up/down movements.
- Multi-axis tracking mode: Camera lens follows gimbal movement smoothly on all three axes.
- Quick Reaction Mode: Camera follows pan movement while keeping horizon position constant.
Additional functions include:
- Manual position setting: Quickly set camera direction by grabbing it.
- Autopanorama: Program camera movement between two points for timelapse creation.
- 360 Pan: Rotate camera around lens axis for cinematic effects.
- Selfie: Point lens toward user for vlogging or selfies.
- Vertical and Horizontal Arrangement: Switch camera orientation for portrait or landscape filming.
Simple and Precise Operation
Control is intuitive with dedicated buttons for mode and function switching, ergonomically placed on the handle for quick access. A four-way joystick and multifunctional knob allow precise movement control; the knob can also adjust focus or zoom on compatible cameras. The gimbal buttons can control shutter release and start/stop recording. A clear tactile display above the joystick shows mode, battery status, and connected devices, providing an alternative control interface.
Feiyu ON, WiFi, and Bluetooth
The Feiyu ON mobile app for Android and iOS enables remote gimbal control via Bluetooth and parameter adjustment. When connected to compatible cameras via WiFi, the app allows remote camera setting control from the stabilizer, enhancing shooting convenience.
Follow Focus Module in Advanced Kit Version
The included FeiyuTech Follow Focus V2 is an advanced focus module with silent brushless motors, enabling focus control via the multifunctional knob on the stabilizer handle.
