HDMI and SDI Cross-Converting
The Lumantek EZ-MD+ is a compact cross-converter designed to convert signals between HDMI and SDI formats. It supports both HDMI to SDI and SDI to HDMI conversion, enabling flexible integration in various video workflows.
Up / Down Scaling and Screen Ratio Control
The device can scale incoming video resolutions from 480i up to 1080p60. It also allows adjustment of the display aspect ratio, offering options for 16:9 (Full) or 4:3 (Pillar Box) to suit different display requirements. These settings are controlled via dip switches for easy configuration.
Audio Embedding and De-embedding with External XLR Audio
The EZ-MD+ features audio embedding and de-embedding capabilities, including support for external balanced XLR audio connections. A 9-pin serial port to four XLR connectors is provided for comprehensive audio interfacing.
Audio Delay Control
Audio delay can be precisely adjusted using a rotary switch, with increments of 50 milliseconds, to synchronize audio with video sources effectively.
Frame Synchronization
The unit offers multiple synchronization modes including Free Running, Input Lock, and Genlock. The Genlock function ensures proper synchronization of video signals when aligning the source with an external reference signal, enhancing signal stability and quality.
Global Power Adaptor
The EZ-MD+ includes an AC/DC power adaptor with three interchangeable plugs, allowing use in various regions worldwide for convenient deployment.
