Conversion Capabilities
The Blackmagic Mini Converter SDI to HDMI 6G enables conversion from SDI to HDMI across SD, HD, and Ultra HD formats, supporting video resolutions up to 2160p30. It features de-embedding of audio to HDMI, AES/EBU digital, or balanced analog audio outputs. Advanced functions include Ultra HD to HD down conversion for monitoring on HD HDMI displays, built-in 33-point 3D LUTs for real-time color grading, and HDMI instant lock for immediate video display upon SDI input connection.
HDMI Instant Lock
This feature continuously sends an active HDMI signal to the display, allowing the device to lock onto a new source signal in as little as one frame when the video format remains the same, ensuring glitch-free switching.
33-Point 3D LUT Support
The converter includes a full 33-point 3D lookup table for high-precision color conversions, enabling custom looks, color, and gamma adjustments in real time. LUTs can also be applied to the SDI loop output, effectively turning the converter into a 3D LUT processor. These LUTs are compatible with DaVinci Resolve for consistent color management on set and in post-production.

- Redundant SDI Input: Automatically switches to alternate input if the main SDI input fails.
