NiSi Cinefilter Linear Polarizer
The NiSi Linear Polarizer Filter is designed for film, TV, and video cameras to effectively reduce reflections and glare by filtering out light polarized due to reflections from non-metallic surfaces. This results in a significant reduction of reflections from surfaces such as metal, water, and glass, while enhancing saturation in skies and foliage.
Construction and Optical Quality
The filter is manufactured by laminating a layer of polarizing film between two pieces of optical glass. The glass layers are then ground flat to preserve maximum image sharpness.

Usage Notes
This linear polarizer differs from circular polarizers as it does not contain an additional quarter wave plate. The absence of this plate means it may interfere with in-camera autofocus and exposure metering functions. Therefore, it is recommended for use when these camera functions are not required or when manual control is preferred.
