Product Description
The Atomos Shogun Ultra is a professional-grade monitor-recorder designed for larger HDMI mirrorless and SDI cinematic cameras. It features a bright 7-inch HDR display with 2000 nits brightness, providing excellent visibility in various lighting conditions. The device supports 12G SDI and HDMI inputs and outputs, enabling compatibility with a wide range of cameras and workflows.
Shogun Ultra captures high-quality video in multiple codecs, including ProRes RAW up to 8K 30p, 6K 60p, and 4K 120p, offering filmmakers full codec flexibility. It supports ProRes, DNxHD, and H.265 (HEVC) formats, making it suitable for diverse production needs.
Powered by the new AtomOS 11, the Shogun Ultra introduces enhanced monitoring and recording features such as improved false color tools, Record Assist, and Playback Assist. These tools facilitate creative control and efficient management of complex shoots, including remote and pre-arranged shots.
The device integrates advanced connectivity options including Wi-Fi 6E for faster wireless performance, 1GbE Ethernet for robust wired network connections, and AirGlu wireless sync technology for long-range timecode and control synchronization. These features enable seamless cloud workflows, including dual recording in ProRes RAW and H.265 for camera-to-cloud streaming, automated filename matching with major cinematic cameras, and instant 4K H.265 publishing from the cloud.
Shogun Ultra supports the SDI Cine feature, which automates filename matching, timecode, and record triggering with ARRI, Canon, RED, and Sony SDI cameras. The Remote View feature allows wireless sharing of the Atomos screen with other AtomOS 11 users, iPads, Macs, and Apple TVs anywhere in the world, including full audio communication.
Included in the package are the Shogun Ultra unit, USB-C PD to 2.1mm DC power lead, Master Caddy III, two Wi-Fi antennas, AirGlu antenna with tips, a 3.5mm audio sync cable, and a quick start guide.
