REEL - 57 Development Reel

Compatibility and Capacity

The REEL - 57 is compatible with Paterson 5 and 8 series tanks, holding up to two film sheets. Its thoughtful design simplifies loading in the dark while ensuring a consistent flow of chemicals for edge-to-edge film development. Additionally, it can be used with REEL - Paper 5 as an insert to develop two 5x7 prints simultaneously.

Loading Instructions

• Place up to two film sheets with the emulsion side facing inward between the vertical columns.
• Pull the sheets down to fully seat them.
• Attach the top holder:
• One click for 13x18 cm film
• Two clicks for 5x7 film
• After development, remove the top holder by pressing thumbs into the central opening and pulling up with the index finger.

Usage Notes

• Use 1350 ml of chemicals for one reel in vertical (manual) agitation.
• Compatible with rotary processing to reduce chemical consumption.
• When used as an insert in REEL - Paper 5, the top holder is not needed.
