Foma Fomatol P (W14)

Foma Fomatol P (W14) is a two-component, one-bath, universal black and white paper developer in powder form. It is designed for manual processing of all types of black-and-white photographic papers. Fomatol P has a neutral tone and contains phenidone-hydroquinone.

Processing Capacity

• One pack of developer will process up to 3.75 sq m (70 sheets size 8 × 10 / 20.3 × 25.4 cm) of baryta fiber-base paper.
• It will also process 7.5 sq m (140 sheets size 8 × 10 / 20.3 × 25.4 cm) of resin-coated paper.

The contents supplied in this package will make 2.5 liters of paper developer.

Preparation Instructions

Dissolve the contents of the larger and then the smaller bag in 2 liters of warm water at 40 °C and add water until the total volume is 2.5 liters.

Developing Times

• Developing time at 20 °C is 90–120 sec for fiber-based papers.
• 60–90 sec for resin-coated papers.
• 60–180 sec for warmtone RC- and FB-papers.

Comparison

Fomatol P (W14) yields results similar to those produced by the Kodak Dektol paper developer.
