Grip Head Design

The 2.5-inch (63.5 mm) grip head features a pair of rotating aluminum discs attached to a 5/8-inch (16 mm) receiver. These discs incorporate four different sized V-shaped jaws designed to accept accessories with mounting studs or tubing of 5/8", 1/2", 3/8", or 1/4" diameters. The V-shaped jaws are equipped with teeth that securely grip any mounted item between the plates.

Ergonomics and Durability

The grip head includes an oversized ergonomic T-handle and dedicated roller bearings engineered for maximum torque and ease of use. It utilizes a non-slip aluminum friction disc that maintains durability over time, providing positive locking strength and precise control.

Construction is centered around a solid steel central stift with a fixed solid pin securing it to the aluminum casting, enhancing strength and durability.

Grip Arm Specifications and Usage

The 20-inch (508 mm) grip arm is made of steel tubing with a 5/8-inch (16 mm) diameter. The tubing surface is meticulously machined to create a rough texture, ensuring a non-slip grip. This grip arm is typically used in conjunction with the 2.5-inch grip head, offering complete flexibility to position gobos such as flags, scrims, silks, and other accessories virtually anywhere on set.
