The Nikon Z7 II enhances the original Z7 platform with improved speed, processing power, and versatility while maintaining its core qualities. It features a 45.7MP FX-format BSI CMOS sensor without an optical low-pass filter for maximum detail and supports a native ISO range down to 64 for rich image capture. Dual EXPEED 6 processors enable faster continuous shooting at 10 fps and a deeper buffer for moving subjects. UHD 4K video recording at 60p is supported, with options for 10-bit external recording using N-Log or HLG (HDR) modes.

45.7MP FX-Format BSI CMOS Sensor and Dual EXPEED 6 Processors
The 45.7MP back-illuminated CMOS sensor delivers high-resolution images with excellent low-light performance and fast readout speeds, benefiting continuous shooting, video, and time-lapse. The sensor omits the optical low-pass filter to maximize sharpness and resolution. Dual EXPEED 6 processors enable continuous shooting at 10 fps for up to 50 frames.
UHD 4K Video Recording
The Z7 II supports UHD 4K video recording up to 60p and Full HD 1080p up to 120p for slow-motion. Video can be recorded internally or as uncompressed files externally via HDMI. Advanced video features include N-Log gamma for flat footage maximizing dynamic range, HLG (HDR) recording, 10-bit HDMI output, Electronic VR for smooth handheld shooting, Focus Peaking for manual focus assistance, and Zebra Stripes for exposure monitoring. Audio can be recorded via built-in stereo mic or external mic input with live headphone monitoring. Firmware version 1.10 adds UHD 4K 60p/50p recording, raw video output to Blackmagic Design Video Assist recorders, and improved eye-detection autofocus.
493-Point Phase-Detect AF System & Vibration Reduction
The sensor includes 493 phase-detect autofocus points covering 90% of the frame vertically and horizontally, enabling fast, accurate focusing and subject tracking near frame edges. Hybrid AF for video smoothly switches between phase- and contrast-detect focusing. Latest NIKKOR Z lenses are optimized for silent operation. The in-body 5-axis sensor-shift Vibration Reduction compensates for up to 5 stops of camera shake with Z-mount lenses. When using the optional FTZ Adapter for F-mount lenses, 3-axis stabilization is provided.
