It features a revised 26.1MP APS-C X-Trans CMOS 4 sensor with back-illuminated design for enhanced image quality and low-light performance, paired with the X-Processor 4 quad-core CPU for fast image processing and autofocus. The camera supports high-resolution stills and internal DCI/UHD 4K30 video recording with F-Log gamma for advanced color grading.
Imaging and Autofocus
The 26.1MP APS-C X-Trans CMOS 4 sensor uses a randomized pixel array to deliver sharp, nuanced images without an optical low-pass filter, reducing moiré and aliasing. The sensor includes a 425-point phase-detection autofocus system covering nearly the entire frame, with low-light sensitivity down to EV -3. The autofocus system supports fast, accurate focusing with face and eye detection, including a new Face Selection option, optimized for both stills and 4K video.
Video Capabilities
The X-T30 II records internal UHD 4K video at up to 30 fps with bit rates up to 200 Mb/s, supporting both DCI 4K (4096 x 2160) and UHD 4K (3840 x 2160) formats. It also offers Full HD recording up to 240 fps for slow-motion effects. Video files can be encoded in MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 or HEVC/H.265 formats. The F-Log gamma profile provides a flat image for advanced post-processing, with improved noise reduction and a minimum ISO of 640 for video.
