The Sigma 45mm f/2.8 DG DN Contemporary lens is designed specifically for full-frame Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras, offering a compact and lightweight build without compromising image quality. On APS-C cameras, it provides an equivalent focal length of 68mm.
Its optical design effectively controls spherical aberrations to produce large, soft, and rounded bokeh, enhancing the three-dimensional impression of subjects. The lens features a rounded seven-blade diaphragm that contributes to smooth and pleasing out-of-focus highlights both in the foreground and background.
Performance and Autofocus
The lens has a constant f/2.8 aperture, ideal for working in available light and providing greater depth of field control. It incorporates a stepping autofocus motor that delivers fast, precise, and near-silent focusing, making it suitable for both photography and video applications. Full-time manual focus override is also available for precise control.
Build and Handling
