The Sigma 105mm f/2.8 DG DN Macro Art lens is a short-telephoto prime optimized for macro photography on Leica L-mount full-frame mirrorless cameras. It offers a 1:1 reproduction ratio with a minimum focusing distance of 29.5 cm (11.6 inches) and a working distance of approximately 14 cm (5.5 inches), enabling life-size close-up shots with excellent detail and clarity.

The optical design includes 12 elements arranged in 7 groups, featuring one SLD element to suppress chromatic aberrations and color fringing. A Super Multi-Layer Coating reduces flare and ghosting, enhancing contrast and color fidelity even in challenging lighting conditions.

Autofocus and Handling

The integrated Hyper-Sonic Motor provides quick, quiet autofocus performance with an optimized AF algorithm for smooth focusing. Full-time manual focus override is available by simply rotating the focus ring. The focus limiter switch allows restricting the focus range to three zones (29.5 cm to 50 cm, 50 cm to infinity, or full range) to improve autofocus speed and precision.

The lens features a physical aperture ring with a de-click switch for smooth, silent aperture adjustments ideal for video recording. An aperture ring lock switch prevents accidental aperture changes. The customizable AFL button expands operational control options.
