It features a compact design with a minimum focus distance of 60 cm at 150 mm, enabling a maximum magnification ratio of 1:3.1 for close-up shots. The lens incorporates Broad-Band Anti-Reflection (BBAR-G2) coating to reduce ghosting and flare, moisture-resistant construction, and a fluorine coating on the front element for protection against dust and smudges. It is Tamron's first full-frame mirrorless lens with optical image stabilization, allowing sharp handheld ultra-telephoto shooting.
