Its bright f/1.4 maximum aperture provides excellent control over depth of field and enhances low-light performance.
Advanced Optical Design
- Incorporates two aspherical elements to control distortion, curvature of field, and spherical aberrations, improving sharpness and rendering accuracy.
- Features two extra-low dispersion (ED) elements to significantly reduce chromatic aberrations and color fringing, resulting in high clarity and color fidelity.
- Equipped with Nano-GI (Gradient Index) coating that modifies the refractive index between glass and air to suppress lens flare and ghosting from diagonal incident light.
- HT-EBC (High Transmittance Electron Beam Coating) applied to all lens surfaces further reduces flare and ghosting, enhancing contrast and color fidelity under strong lighting conditions.
Focus and Handling
- Utilizes a floating focus system combined with a quick and quiet autofocus motor to deliver precise focus and consistent image quality across the entire focusing range, from a minimum focusing distance of 15 cm to infinity.
- Includes an integrated depth of field scale to assist with zone focusing and pre-focusing techniques.
