The Fujifilm XF 56mm f/1.2 R Lens is a prime lens designed for portrait photography, offering a 35mm-equivalent focal length of 85mm when used with Fujifilm APS-C mirrorless cameras. It features a bright maximum aperture of f/1.2, which allows for excellent selective focus control and enhanced low-light shooting capabilities.
The lens incorporates 11 elements in 8 groups, including one double-sided aspherical element and two extra-low dispersion (ED) elements to reduce chromatic and spherical aberrations. Additionally, four front-facing convex elements ensure superior light coverage even at wide apertures. An HT-EBC multi-layer coating minimizes ghosting and lens flare, while an extra coating on the rear side of the front-most element further reduces ghosting common in deep concave lens designs.
Focusing System
The internal focusing mechanism combined with a stepping autofocus motor provides quiet, smooth, and precise focusing, making it suitable for both still photography and video recording.
