The Amaran Halo 60x Bi-Color LED Monolight is a bright, ultra-compact 63W COB point-source fixture designed for creators requiring consistent bi-color lighting. It delivers a brighter output than its predecessor, the COB 60x S, in a slimmer body. The light outputs 3270 lux at 1 meter distance with a wide 85° beam angle, providing uniform and diffused illumination without hotspots.
The fixture features a variable correlated color temperature (CCT) from 2700 to 6500K, enabling warm to cool lighting options with high color accuracy. It offers excellent color fidelity with ratings of CRI 96, TLCI 97, SSI 84 and 74, and TM-30 94 and 102, ensuring true-to-life skin tones and consistent colors on camera.
Compact and Versatile Design
Despite its small size (132 x 119 x 56 mm), the Halo 60x includes a reinforced full-size Bowens mount compatible with a wide range of Bowens-mount modifiers such as mini reflectors and mini Fresnels. It also comes with a 1/4"-20 to baby pin adapter with integrated tilting bracket and umbrella holder for versatile mounting options.
The fixture is lightweight and ideal for tight spaces, making it suitable for home studios or on-location shoots. Its active cooling system keeps the light quiet (28 dBA in smart mode) with selectable silent, smart, and high fan modes, suitable for sound-sensitive environments.
Intuitive Control and Connectivity
- Onboard control via an intuitive TFT screen with a simplified colored menu and separate knobs for brightness and color temperature for quick adjustments.
- Wireless control through Bluetooth and the amaran app with instant one-tap NFC pairing, allowing control from up to 80 meters away.
- Optional USB-C to 5-pin DMX adapter enables wired DMX control for integration with professional lighting consoles and software.
Power and Portability
The Halo 60x can be powered by the included AC adapter or USB-C Power Delivery sources. It is also compatible with the optional amaran Peak series portable batteries via USB-C PD and the Ace E-lock adapter, providing up to 60 minutes of runtime at full output with the Peak and 52 minutes with the Peak 75.
