ILFORD MULTIGRADE RC DELUXE is a premium quality, black & white variable contrast photo paper on a bright white resin coated base, designed for darkroom printing. It offers a full tonal range and exceptional image quality across a wide contrast range of grades 00-5.

Originally introduced by ILFORD in 1940 as the world’s first variable contrast MULTIGRADE paper, this product has evolved to become a preferred choice for both beginners and advanced darkroom users seeking creative control without compromise.

The current emulsion design enhances tonal response, revealing subtle highlight details while maintaining deep rich blacks, accentuated by the bright white base. This makes it ideal for printing directly from negatives.

MULTIGRADE RC DELUXE is also available in Cooltone and Warmtone variants and is compatible with ILFORD MULTIGRADE filters to achieve seven full grades of contrast. It can be used with common black & white darkroom safelights such as the ILFORD 902 safelight filter.
