Full-frame Interchangeable-lens PTZ Camera

  • Equipped with a back-illuminated 35 mm full-frame CMOS image sensor and BIONZ XR™ image processing engine.
  • Supports remote pan, tilt, and zoom (PTZ) control for versatile camera placement.
  • Offers powerful cinematic expression with over 15 stops of dynamic range (S-Log3) and color matching with other Cinema Line cameras.
  • Capable of recording 4K video at up to 120 frames per second.
  • Records in XAVC-I 4:2:2 10-bit format for high-quality footage.

Remote Control for Creative Camera Placement

The integrated pan and tilt mechanism allows the FR7 to be mounted in unconventional locations such as ceilings, enabling dynamic subject tracking and instant recall of up to 100 preset camera positions via the Web App.

Innovative Remote Operation

  • Control the camera remotely through a newly developed Web App accessible via QR code or URL on tablets or PCs.
  • Optional RM-IP500 hardware controller (sold separately) provides precise joystick control for pan, tilt, and zoom.
  • Supports Optical Zoom and Clear Image Zoom when using compatible electronic power zoom lenses; Clear Image Zoom is available with prime or non-power zoom lenses.

Advanced Cinematic Technology

  • First PTZ camera to feature a back-illuminated 35 mm full-frame CMOS sensor (as of September 2022).
  • BIONZ XR processing delivers high sensitivity, smooth gradations, and accurate color reproduction.

The FR7 is part of Sony's renowned Cinema Line, offering Custom and Cine EI modes to adapt camera operation to professional workflows while ensuring consistency with other Cinema Line cameras.
