The Tilta Hydra Arm Mini Modification Kit enhances the standard Tilta Hydra Arm Mini specifically for DJI Ronin 2 users, increasing the maximum payload capacity from approximately 7.7 kg to an impressive 13 kg. This upgrade significantly reduces high-frequency road vibrations by incorporating a steel-wire shock absorber head, a heavy-duty spring, a dedicated Ronin 2 quick-release mount, and dual stainless steel support cables, all configured within a two-section arm setup optimized for car-to-car and vehicle-mounted gimbal shots.
Vibration Reduction and Payload Enhancement
This kit replaces the original polyurethane dampers with steel-wire shock absorbers that effectively mitigate harsh vibrations caused by rough terrain and high-speed driving. The upgraded heavy-duty spring raises the safe working load to 13 kg, ensuring stable operation under heavier payloads.
Mounting and Stability Features
The included quick-release Ronin 2 adapter plate enables direct, tool-free mounting of the gimbal without the need for additional dovetail plates. Two 2-meter stainless steel support cables provide redundancy and enhance system stability during operation. Note that this modification restricts the Hydra Arm Mini to a two-section configuration only, requiring removal of the third extension to maintain safety at the increased payload.
