The Pentax HD DA Fish-Eye 10-17mm f/3.5-4.5 ED zoom lens offers a 180-degree diagonal angle of view on APS-C format cameras at the 10mm focal length, delivering striking fish-eye images. The angle of view changes dramatically with slight focal length adjustments, enabling photographers to create ultra-wide-angle effects such as exaggerated perspective, subject distortion, and a pan-focus effect that keeps the entire image field in focus.
New Exterior Design Compatible with Latest Digital SLR Models
Maintaining the compact size of the original Pentax DA Fish-Eye 10-17mm f/3.5-4.5 ED, this lens features a completely redesigned exterior similar to the latest DA- and D FA-series lenses. This modern design complements the newest Pentax K-series digital SLR cameras.
Despite being an ultra-wide-angle zoom, the lens is extremely compact and lightweight. When mounted on full-frame cameras such as the Pentax K-1 or K-1 Mark II, removing the lens hood allows for nearly circular fish-eye images, expanding creative photographic possibilities.
Note: Using this lens on full-frame cameras will result in vignetting and reduced image quality at the edges.
Advanced HD Coating
The lens incorporates Pentax's latest high-performance multi-layer HD coating, which reduces average reflectance in the visible spectrum by over 50%, enhancing light transmittance and minimizing flare and ghosting even in challenging lighting conditions such as backlighting.
An Extra-low Dispersion (ED) glass element is included to effectively correct chromatic aberration, producing clear, high-contrast images.
SP Coating to Repel Stains
