Samyang Optics 12mm F2.8 ED AS NCS Fish-eye is a manual focus fisheye lens designed for full frame sensor sizes. This portable lens realizes various images both in long and short distance shooting.
Optical Features
Samyang 12mm F2.8 ED AS NCS Fish-eye is a manual focus lens with a low F-number. You may control the lens precisely when shooting under various exposure environments including relatively dark or very bright situations. This lens features 12 lenses in 8 groups including 2 glass aspherical lenses (ASP) and 3 extra low dispersion lenses (ED) to offer high resolution. Also, the Nano Coating System (NCS) of Samyang Optics is used to optimize light penetration and minimize flare and ghosting. With such optical construction, it has a minimum focusing distance of 0.2 meters to film subjects at near distance. The stereoscopic projection optical design delivers a soft and stabilized fisheye distortion effect.
Hardware Features
There are 7 aperture blades designed to form an almost full circle when the aperture is closed, which expresses starlike rays clearly and beautifully. The frame of the lens is compact and solid since it is made of high-strength aluminum alloy, allowing you to create trustworthy images. Also, the detachable petal-shaped lens hood minimizes flare and ghost by sheltering the lens from unnecessary light.
