Lensbaby´s most popular art lens - the Velvet 56 adds ethereal mood to any scene with tack-sharp detail layered underneath edge-to-edge velvety glow effect.
The special thing about these lenses is that at full aperture they give a soft, dreamy blur over the image. The effect decreases the lower aperture which makes it more versatile. Each stop creates a different effect.
Housing is made of all aluminium and focusing is done manually. Optical contruction consists of 4 elements in 3 groups with anti-reflective coating. The lens also offers a real macro 1:2 maximum magnification and a minimal focusing distance of 130mm which is great for macro shooting.
