The Lensbaby Composer Pro II with Soft Focus II Optic is compatible with all current and legacy Lensbaby Optic Swap lens bodies. It features a 12-blade manually adjustable internal aperture integrated within a unique drop-in magnetic aperture system, allowing versatile control over the optical effects.
At its widest aperture settings, the Soft Focus II optic produces impressionistic images characterized by subtle sharp details beneath a soft glow. It renders a soft pastel color palette and creates a remarkably flat field of focus, enabling photographic effects that are difficult to achieve with other lenses.
When stopped down to f/8 or smaller apertures, this optic delivers beautifully detailed and traditionally sharp images with a large central focus area and smoothly out-of-focus edges on full-frame sensors and 35mm film. The internal 12-blade aperture is adjusted by rotating the front of the optic, allowing quick and precise control over the effect, ranging from a glowing, impressionistic look to a contrasty, sharp rendering.
