TSN-PA vs TSN-DA Adapter

The TSN-PA adapter fits over the eyepiece and attaches directly to the spotting scope body, providing a more stable connection. In contrast, the TSN-DA adapter mounts on the eyepiece itself and is suitable when connecting the camera to the camera lens's filter thread. TSN-DA adapters are available as optional accessories.

Compatibility of TSN-PA8 and TSN-PA7A

• TSN-PA8 is compatible with:
  • Kowa TSN-601, TSN-660, and TSN-82SV series combined with TE-Z9B or TE-14WD eyepieces
  • Kowa TSN-550 series spotting scopes
  • Kowa High Lander with 21x, 32x, and 50x eyepieces
• TSN-PA8 also supports many historical Kowa spotting scopes and eyepieces; inquiries are recommended for vintage models.
• TSN-PA7A is designed for:
  • Kowa TSN-99, TSN-88, TSN-880, and TSN-770 series with TE-11WZ or TE-80XW eyepieces

Installation Instructions

1. Remove the eyepiece from the spotting scope and take off the protective ring on the scope body.
2. Screw the TSN-PA8 inner ring onto the scope body to establish a stable connection.
3. Attach the T2 adapter to the TSN-PA8 adapter, then connect your camera body to the T2 adapter.
4. Slide the entire assembly over the eyepiece and inner ring, securing it with the thumbscrew.
5. Some cameras may require menu adjustments to recognize the lens absence; refer to your camera manual for details.
