The Nano IR Medium Graduated Neutral Density (GND) filter from NiSi is specially designed for landscape photographers. It is made from high-quality environmental optical lens glass (H-K9L), not resin, ensuring no detail loss. The filter features a dark area at the top that gradually transitions to clear at the bottom, preventing overexposure of skies while maintaining normal exposure in other parts of the image.

This medium-edged GND filter is particularly useful for scenes with buildings, mountains, or other elements protruding into the skyline. The filter can be repositioned within the holder to recompose the photo for optimal results.

Neutral density filters do not affect image coloration. However, cameras are vulnerable to infrared light when using ND filters at small apertures, which can cause unwanted red color casts. NiSi has added an infrared protection coating layer to this filter to eliminate infrared light passing through the lens, restoring natural colors.
