The NiSi Nano IR Medium Graduated Neutral Density (GND) filter is specifically designed for landscape photographers. It is crafted from high-quality environmental optical lens glass (H-K9L), not resin, ensuring superior image clarity and durability.

This filter features a medium transition with a dark area at the top that gradually fades to clear at the bottom, effectively preventing overexposure of skies while maintaining normal exposure in other parts of the image. This medium-edged transition is particularly useful for scenes containing buildings, mountains, or other elements protruding into the skyline.

Neutral density filters do not affect the coloration of the image. However, cameras can be vulnerable to infrared light when using ND filters, which may cause unwanted red color casts, especially at small apertures. To address this, NiSi has incorporated an infrared protection coating layer that eliminates infrared light passing through the lens, restoring natural colors.
