Functionality and Compatibility

Ordinary universal L-brackets are limited in both functionality and compatibility. The 3 Legged Thing Ellie is the world's first truly universal L-bracket, designed to be the most functional, modular, and configurable L-bracket available. Its detachable release plate can be used independently or combined with the vertical aspect. Featuring dual Arca-Swiss profile sides and symmetrical 1/4"-20 threaded ends, the vertical axis can be configured in 8 different positions, allowing enhanced cable access and versatility.

Modular System

The Ellie System is a world-first in modular camera brackets. It combines a reversible, rotatable vertical aspect with one of four precision base units, making it the most functional and compatible L-bracket system globally. It is the only L-bracket system compatible with both Peak Design and Arca-Swiss standards. With two-axis adjustments, Ellie fits more cameras than any other universal L-bracket, offering an unprecedented level of functionality.

Vertical Aspect Features

Ellie's unique vertical aspect includes dual Arca-Swiss profiled edges and symmetrical ends with twin 1/4"-20 threads, enabling 8 possible side configurations. This design provides exceptional compatibility and functionality for various camera setups.

Base Options

Ellie offers four base options to maximize compatibility. There are two shoe choices: Arca or Peak Design V3 Capture, and two base lengths: Standard and Short. This variety ensures there is an Ellie model suitable for every camera.

ELLIE

The original Ellie features an 85mm Arca-Swiss compatible base with a screen slope and strap connectors. It fits almost every camera, including DSLR and mirrorless models.

ELLIE SHORT

Ellie Short has a 70mm base designed specifically for Fujifilm and Olympus cameras or any camera where the tripod mount is close to the battery door. It also includes a screen slope and strap connectors.

ELLIE PD

Ellie PD is identical to the original Ellie but includes a shoe compatible with the Peak Design V3 Capture system. It is also compatible with Arca-Swiss and features a screen slope and strap connector.

ELLIE PD SHORT

The Ellie PD Short combines features of Ellie Short and Ellie PD. It has a 70mm base compatible with both Peak Design V3 Capture and Arca-Swiss, designed for Fujifilm and Olympus cameras or any camera with a tripod mount near the battery door.
