The Sony DVF-EL1 is a detachable, tiltable OLED viewfinder designed for precise composition, focus, and exposure checking. It features a 0.58-type OLED screen with approximately 7.07 million dots, supporting a wide DCI-P3-equivalent colour gamut, 10-bit display, and HDR monitoring to reproduce fine details and rich colours accurately.
Display Modes and Magnification
The viewfinder supports up to approximately 0.90x magnification (with a 50 mm lens at infinity, -1 m⁻¹) and offers two display modes: Standard and Reduce. These modes allow users to prioritize either resolution or improved visibility, adapting to various shooting styles and scenarios, including low and high-angle shots.
Vertical Tilt Mechanism for Comfortable Shooting
The vertical tilt mechanism enables adjustment from 0° to approximately 90° upwards, enhancing shooting flexibility. The eyepiece cap is removable and rotatable from left to right to accommodate different shooting preferences. Removing the eyepiece cap allows the eye to be positioned closer to the eyepoint, providing a comfortable viewing experience even when wearing glasses.
