The controls on the receiver can be used to switch between first and second-level amplification. The controls on the transmitter can be used to toggle attenuation or noise reduction. A foam windshield for each transmitter helps to reduce the effect of wind noise during outdoor recordings. The built-in batteries keep each transmitter running for 6 hours and the receiver for 8 hours. When the batteries are dead, the charging case can be used to charge the entire system and take it with you on trips.
