Byomic Dobson Telescope SkyDiver 102/640

The Byomic Dobson Telescope SkyDiver 102/640 is a wonderful telescope for observing the moon and planets. Because you can also observe nebulae and galaxies, the telescope is not only suitable for children and starting astronomers, but also for amateurs.

Dobsonian mount

The Byomic SkyDiver 102/640 is equipped with a Dobsonian mount which makes it easy to move the telescope azimuthally (horizontally and vertically). Because the Dobson telescope only needs to be placed on a flat surface, you do not need much space and you can start observing immediately. The Dobson mount also ensures that the telescope can be stored quickly and takes up little space. The Byomic SkyDiver 102/640 has a handle in the mount, which makes it easy to carry and move the telescope.

The Byomic Dobson Telescope SkyDiver 102/640 is a powerful and simple telescope. As soon as the telescope is placed on a flat surface, it is ready for use. Due to the Dobsonian mounting, the telescope can easily move left and right as well as up and down. When the correct position is reached, it can be locked in place using the convenient locking buttons.

Eyepieces

Two eyepieces are supplied, one with a focal length of 20 mm and one with a focal length of 6 mm, which allow magnifications of 32x and 117x respectively. When using the supplied Barlowlens, magnifications of up to 351x can be achieved.

It is advisable to start with a small magnification and expand this. If you start immediately with a high magnification (6 mm eyepiece), the results will usually not be satisfactory.

If an eyepiece is used with a high focal point and therefore low magnification, the eye will catch more light, resulting in a clearer image than if a high magnification is used with a low focal point.

 With the help of the red dot viewfinder, the telescope can easily be pointed at a celestial body. When looking through the red dot and moving the telescope so that the red dot is visible on a celestial object, you will also see this when looking through the eyepiece.
